Looking back.    Exactly a year ago, the clan and I were having buffet lunch on a raft, cruising along Loboc River in Bohol. Seeing as it was the day before my 25th and there was an entertainer on board at their disposal, my family naturally had to announce that it was almost my birthday and just had to take the opportunity to embarrass me. I kid. I had no problem with this. I don't get why some people don't celebrate their birthdays. It's never about age, it should always only be about the greatness that is life! It is good!

Looking foward.   Quite a tame one this year.  A long weekend to myself, maybe visit my two godchildren so they can spend time with Ninang. We shall see. I was quite happy with my alone time this morning after dropping Jack off for his 11.30 shift. There was a town fair set up nearby so, I parked near the ferris wheel and ate a Wendy's burger that I have desperately been craving for since last night. Watched the kids enjoy the simplest of things ... the 3 minute-long fun rides, cotton candy, caramel popcorn; what a relaxing sight it was.



I'm supposed to get eggs and some fruit for later (mom's baking), but my butt seems to be glued to this couch for now. Hmm. Let's see where this day takes me.

now all I really need is a Yoda thumb drive.  (slightly hesitant) Owner of a Vaio W netbook as of 8pm tonight. My heart is literally aching from the thought of giving away my dear Acer which has served me well for a year and a month. You see, I often left it charging for days/weeks at a time so naturally, the battery has conked out. I don't have enough patience to scour the city or the internet for a replacement battery so, here it is ...  a brand new piece of technology on my lap. Poor old lappy. We had great moments of wireless bliss.

aren't birthdays just around the corner ever so grand though? I am grateful for the unexpected xx amount of cash that Mum has offered to partially finance this shenanigan. lucky, lucky me. 

really serious about this yoda usb drive, by the way. I hope they still make these.
